ACCELERATING STARTUPS WITH A SUSTAINABLE AND POSITIVE IMPACT
IT FOR THE PLANET SEEKS TO PUT THE POWER OF NEW TECHNOLOGY BEHIND THE SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS, ALSO KNOWN AS THE GLOBAL GOALS
WE SUPPORT STARTUPS TRYING TO SAVE OUR PLANET
IT for the Planet is a platform dedicated to promoting and developing new tech solutions that help to solve the Global Goals (officially known as the Sustainable Development Goals).
OUR MISSION :
WE HELP TECH STARTUPS WITH A POSITIVE IMPACT TO GET FUNDING
We all need to join the global effort to save our planet. Emerging technologies can help to reshape the future. We need a radical transformation in the way we live, we work and we consume. We believe that new tech can solve our major global challenges and to face the economic, environmental and climate crisis.
IT FOR THE PLANET is an initiative created by Free Spirit Foundation. Our non profit organization collaborates with corporates and governments in order to build a brighter future for our children.

CONNECTING STARTUPS WITH INVESTORS
We support and develop startups that directly contribute to accelerate the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals. We connect those companies with a high potential to investors such as VCs, CVCs and Business angels. We aim to improve their visibility and to help them to get funds to develop their solution.
Eligible businesses are :
- Based on new technology
- Addressing a societal, environmental or wildlife issue
- Seed, Serie A
- Not a spin-off of an existing company
IMPACT INVESTMENT
We are building a community of investors which are willing to support TECH STARTUPS through an impact investment : Impact investments are investments made with the intention to generate positive, measurable social and environmental impact alongside a financial return.
The growing impact investment market provides capital to address the world’s most pressing challenges in sectors such as sustainable agriculture, renewable energy, conservation, microfinance, and affordable and accessible basic services including housing, healthcare, and education.

INNOVATION TO SOLVE THE GLOBAL GOALS
In 2015, world leaders agreed to 17 Global Goals (officially known as the Sustainable Development Goals or SDGs). These goals have the power to create a better world by 2030, by ending poverty, fighting inequality and addressing the urgency of climate change. Guided by the Goals, it is now up to all of us, governments, businesses, civil society and the general public to work together to build a better future for everyone.
Students, startups and large companies in the IT industry all across the world can be part of the change and use new technology to solve global issues.
